CEFGA Nationally-recognized as Top Training Organization

For the second year in a row, CEFGA was recognized as one of the top training organizations in the country by the National Center for Construction Education and Research, based in Gainesville, FL.

The "Training Champions" recognition is based on students enrolled and book sales during the 2002 calendar year. CEFGA training units had more than 3500 students enrolled in construction training in 2002.

"This is a credit to everyone in Georgia who recognizes the importance of construction training and is working to train construction professionals," said Scott Shelar, executive director of CEFGA. "That includes our high school construction programs, our industry training partners and the more than 100 construction teachers who are using the NCCER curriculum in Georgia."

CEFGA was one of 20 training organizations recognized. Other 2003 recipients of the "Training Champions" recognition included BE&K, Fluor Corp. and H.B. Zachary.
