Accreditation Guide - Sample Timeline - Forms - ANR Tutorial

CEFGA Program Accreditation is a voluntary evaluation and improvement process for schools that teach construction in Georgia.

CEFGA, the official accrediting organization for the Georgia Department of Education, manages the accreditation process through the use of Evaluation Team Leaders (ETLs), industry volunteers and construction teachers.

Programs are evaluated in six areas:

  1. Organization and Administration
  2. Learning Resources
  3. Instructors
  4. Students
  5. Facilities and Services
  6. Industry Involvement

All accredited programs utilize the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Contren Learning Series (www.nccer.org). The NCCER is a not-for-profit education foundation created to help address the critical workforce shortage facing the construction industry and to develop industry driven standardized craft training programs with portable credentials.

The first step in pursuing CEFGA/NCCER Accreditation is to become familiar with the Contren Learning Series. You may do this by contacting Liz Myhre at (800) 720-3870, Liz.Myhre@Pearson.com or visiting www.crafttraining.com

Students in accredited programs receive national recognition, including a transcript, a certificate, and a wallet card issued by the NCCER. This is all free of charge to CEFGA/NCCER Accredited Programs.
